The weather here is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and i've been taking full advantage of it. Yesterday morning we had lecture and than Hospital Day (it's kinda like a college fair except with Hospitals and wayyyy more free stuff, i'm especially excited about the really nice canvas bag and new reusable grocery bag. i'm a dork, i know.) Anyways, it was a good opportunity to feel out some new hospitals to try and set up some my elective rotations with and reassuring to get more info from the places i'm already set to go. It's also an early heads up about who is going to be offering what residencies, what the salaries are etc.
Yesterday afternoon I was able to sit outside for about 3 1/2 hours studying in the sunshine. it hit EIGHT TWO here yesterday, 8-2. That is almost 3 times the temperature that it was here a few days ago. Everyone in erie is a bit thrown off by this and not really sure what to do with themselves in the warm weather (it generally doesn't hit the 80s here until about july). As a result of my productive day outside, I could now be both the member's of "ebony & ivory" well, if ebony actually meant sunburned instead of black...I figure I'm going to head back out again today and see if i can't become all one color. Yes, i'm sunburned, but it hurts so good :)
Tonight we're going to be grilling out and have a bonfire with yard games (tailgating games would be the proper term) over at Drew and Sarah's house. i can't WAIT! Kristen and Craig are going to be coming up to celebrate easter tomorrow afternoon. Sunday i'll be celebrating easter with my 'erie family' by going to church and out to brunch. i'll manage to do some studying for my exam and boards somewhere in between all of these thing but at the moment i'm relishing in the fact that i have a semi-normal life. I am a bit homesick though, it's hard to miss out on family stuff around holidays, i get real bad fomo (fear of missing out).
Oh, and i hunted down the UPS man this morning mom to get my easter package. i apparently missed him this morning, called UPS and was told by the man working to just go for the UPS truck somewhere on 26th street. I wasn't aware that i was allowed to do this...but i tracked him and he gave me my package :)
Happy Easter!

Sounds like it was a great day! The weather there was even better that here. We only hit in the mid seventies but we did get out to pick up sticks and do some yard work. Have a great weekend and while we miss you too we know that we will see you soon. Say hello to Kristen and Craig and your Erie family for us and Happy Easter wishes to everyone. Love Dad.
